Fun at the 100th Murray Bridge Show

Our September club outing, which is normally held on the last weekend of the month, was brought forward to 23rd September so that we could attend the 100th Murray Bridge Show. It was a fine day out and our group enjoyed themselves immensely.

As well as doing a bit of 'clowning around', our group also visited the stand for the Murray Bridge Photography Club to admire their images. Group Photo Credit: Barbara Holloway, MBPC.

Many thanks to Robert, Helen & Tony for providing photos - it looks like it was a great day out! We are always on the lookout for places to go for our outings and we are already thinking about where to go next year! Members are welcome to put forward suggestions!

Cheers
Cathy Cates, PACC Secretary (2014-2018)

PACC weekend away - September 2018

On 5th September, some of our members ventured over to Yorke Peninsula for an early start to the Club Trip.

LtoR: Marc, Georgios & Colin

They were followed by more club members on 7th September, for the 'official' part of the club trip visiting Wallaroo, Moonta & surrounds whilst being joined by members from the Copper Coast Photography Club. Many thanks to Ian Archibald, President of CCPC (pictured centre of back row below) for assistance provided both in the planning stages and over the weekend; the special trip to Freemason Lodge and Moonta Mines Train was a highlight for several of our members.

Here are just a few shots from the weekend,

Many thanks to our members Georgios, Robert & Donna for providing photos - it looks like it was a great weekend!

We are already thinking about where to go next year!

Panorama | Open | Phone Photos - Competition Results, September 2018

Here are the September 2018 competition results.

The subjects for this month were 'Panorama' and 'Open' and we also had our final 'Phone' category for the year. In total, we received 86 entries from 20 members. Our judge for the night was Des Berwick, who made mention that he thought the skill level in the club was extremely good!

Sadly, the Phone images were down to a record low of 4 this month, however, the number of Print entries were good with 19 prints being judged. As much as I personally love the ease of digital entries, there is still something special about looking at a good print!

PDI Panorama - FIRST - 'Sydney Rush Hour' by Georgios Tsiminis

PDI Panorama - SECOND - 'Wool Store Night Lights' by David Archdall
